Privacy Policy
Line Check is a rehearsal app for actors. This policy explains what information the app handles and how to contact us with privacy questions.
Information We Collect
Line Check may collect account information, app diagnostics, support requests, rehearsal progress, and script or scene materials you choose to upload so the app can create rehearsal scenes and audio.
How We Use Information
We use this information to provide the app, generate rehearsal materials, save your library, respond to support requests, improve reliability, and protect access to licensed or private materials.
Script And Rehearsal Materials
Script pages and scene materials are used to build the rehearsal experience you request. Line Check is designed for private rehearsal and does not sell your scripts, rehearsal text, or performance materials.
Some features require cloud processing. For example, uploaded script pages may be processed by OCR and model providers so Line Check can read a scene, prepare rehearsal markup, cast voices, and generate rehearsal audio. We aim to send only the material needed for the feature you choose.
Third-Party Services
Line Check uses service providers for app hosting, authentication, account sign-in, analytics, support email, app updates, script processing, public show metadata, and text-to-speech. Depending on the feature, these providers may include Google/Firebase, Google Gemini, Mistral, OpenAI fallback services, Fish Audio, PostHog, Expo, Apple, Wikimedia projects, TVMaze, Google Books, and email delivery providers. These providers process information only as needed to provide the app experience and related services. On-device speech recognition is used for rehearsal listening where supported.
Based on these providers' published terms and documentation, paid Gemini API content is not used by Google to improve its products. Mistral states that paid API inputs and outputs are not used for model training, but may be retained for a limited abuse-monitoring period unless zero data retention is enabled. OpenAI states that API business data is not used for training by default, but may be retained for a limited abuse-monitoring period unless zero data retention applies. We are reviewing Fish Audio's API-specific retention, deletion, subprocessor, and data processing terms for generated rehearsal audio.
Analytics and support diagnostics are designed to use safe operational records such as app version, device type, status, timing, feature names, and aggregate provider usage. They are not intended to include uploaded page images, raw OCR output, full script text, generated audio bytes, prompts, API keys, or full rehearsal recordings.
If you choose to report a specific generated audio line, Line Check may send that flagged generated audio clip, the single script line, and related show, scene, speaker, and line metadata internally so we can review quality and safety. General support diagnostics do not include generated audio by default.
